Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) held a special meeting to announce their decision on supporting the Presidential candidate at the New Town Hall Colombo today. They said that doors are closed for President Mahinda Rajapaksa and are having talks with Common Candidate Maithripala Sirisena about their proposals.
JHU Chairman Ven. Athuruliya Rathana Thera, General Secretary Patali Champika Ranawaka, JHU Leader the Ven. Omalpe Sobitha Thera, Western Provincial Counciller Udaya Gammanpila and JHU National organiser Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe participated at the meeting. Pix by Waruna Wanniarachchi

Unless JHU enters this moment Maithree could be misled and taken the country in to a devastating end. Good that people with vision and a mission is with the common candidate so that if he goes wrong at any stage due to other unknown influence, this could be instantly brought to the notice of the general public. However, my wonder is whether there would be any resistance from UNP representation and Chandrika.
