Ten sex workers were arrested during a raid by the Organised Crimes Investigation Unit on an alleged brothel being run under the guise of an Ayurvedic Medical Centre in Boralesgamuwa yesterday, police said.
They said another man and woman were also arrested for managing the brothel.
The arrested women suspects were residents of Kuruvita, Wellawaya, Maharagama, Rathgama, Karandeniya, Galle, and Dodangaslanda areas.
The suspects are to be produced in the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court today.
