The Speaker would take steps to send a copy of the No-Faith Motion and the resolution submitted by 122 MPs today that the recently appointed Prime Minister and the Cabinet was unconstitutional to President Maithripala Sirisena to take further action according to the Constitution, the Speaker’s Office said in a statement.

It is not the priority to issue public notices. If Speaker is impartial and want to calm down the situation, he should talk to President and solve the issue. By issuing this kind of statements he provoke public for a civil unrest.

The speaker is doing his job, not trying to please the MR supporters like you guys. Are you one of Namal's goons?
Saman Wednesday, 14 November 2018 02:09 PM
Mithri had a chance to remove Ranil from his sheet when they brought a no-faith motion against Ranil. But did Maithri's guys vote for it? Did Mahinda really want him to be removed? Don't blame others now.

Now the President has failed in everything. He must resign and pave way for Karu to take over the responsibilities asPer the 19th amendment to the constitution followed by UNP government .

I guess that this is an olive branch and rescue mission for the president to climb out of the well he fell into or forced to fall into. The next step will be impeachment.
