A woman received gunshot injuries when a gunman opened fire at Weligampitiya in Ja-Ela this morning.
Police said the gunman in a car fired shots at the woman who was travelling in a car.
The injured woman was admitted to the Colombo North (Ragama) teaching Hospital. (TK)

Last week Tangalle and Hikkaduwa. This week Jaela. Where is the rule of law in this country. Is the country run by the underworld? There is no security grip in the country. It seems like no one is responsible and no one knows what is happening.
