Didn't Kuveni curse Vijaya when she was betrayed by him? The history of Sri Lanka ever since was marked by war and corruption.

Only way to address this particular issue is to conduct mandatory 3 day crash course on driving skills, road rules and driver attitude....instead of violators being fined give them a 3 day rehabilitation crash course and if they still do the mistakes then impose a fine.

The problem is people assume that modern vehicles, with ABS, Air bags, ESP, Seat belts and collision avoidance braking systems make them infallible, and immune to road conditions. The driving test should be more stringent and those involved in accidents, however minor should undertake a mandotory re-test. This is a problem, even in Europe.
