All the necessary information about the accomplices of underworld leaders now living in foreign counties have been collected, Minister of Law and Order Ranjith Maddumabandra said.
Accordingly, several underworld gang members have been arrested and police had been instructed to continue the process.
About two tons of heroin have been seized in the operation carried out in the recent past by the police to combat the growth of the underworld and avert spreading of heroin.
Police has also been instructed to take all necessary action to stop the murders executed by the accomplices of the underworld abroad. (Dayaseeli Liyanage)
