Finally, after three years, for the very first time, to fill an important position they have scientifically (and logically) selected a highly capable and honest person.

Being a close relation of Ranil and a UNP supporter is the scientific part. There are plenty of younger more capable professionals.

Mr Gafoor, even if what you say is correct, what is wrong with his relationship with RW or being a UNPer? Please remember that app 40% of the people in the island are UNPers. What do you say? Eliminate them from available opportunities? Or being a relative of RW is a crime and should not give any opportunities for a professional with international repute (Harvard and a few other US Universities, FCMA from UK, Chartered Accountant, long experience with international audit firms of highest calibre, ......... and apart always calls a spade a spade at any forum, .......). These are a few genes of this man. Who is your YOUNG candidate who has the same honesty, maturity and professionalism?

Congratulations Sir-Mr. Ranel T. Wijesingha for his new appointment. He is a true professional and someone with 100% integrity. i have never seen a person like him who scarifies his personal time without fee even for goodness of the office. I think now we have the right person to direct SEC.His vast experience in share Market will truly help to boost our share market.

Congratulations. As a Chartered Accountant and having gone through the study and training, I feel you are the most suitable. I am confident you will emulate the high ethics and integrity of our profession. Never bow down to political or public pressure if it is unreasonable.
