Four family members killed in accident

Four family members had been killed when the three wheeler they were traveling in, collided with a lorry at the Yatigalpottha Junction in Galewela this morning, the Police said.

They said victims-two male, a woman and a girl -were admitted to the Galewela and Dambulla Hospitals where they succumbed to injuries.

The driver of the lorry has been arrested by the Galewela Police.

    There you go .. another day. another three-wheeler. Death can come any time but the chance is tenfold when you travel with a three-wheeler.

    What will it take to ban these death traps ....they should not be used to transport people ,but goods and shopping only..restrict the speed by fitting speed limiter and ban them from weaving in and out of traffic ..impose heavier fines plus confiscate the vehicle after three offences
