Sorry state of affairs. Typical Srilankan Judiciary...Our judges are all out to put this kind of petty robbers in jail...but never have the guts to put ace rogues; the top politicians in the country in jail...some get bail before even they appear in courts.

The judge has remanded this lady due to public property theft....Isn't Basil Rajapakses did the same thing of robbing public money amounting to Billions of Rupees...How come judges never remanded Basil for robbing billions of public property?

Incapable people are doing the job for the pay they do. Look at Ranjan? I feel so sorry for him.

If 1000 Rs was the fine for Sajin Vaas, this fine must be 50 cents (proportionately speaking).

It is sad to hear this story, but end of the day all crimes should be punished. We need to build a culture, where crimes are not forgiven, due to their civil statues.
