The message as follows:

“Dear Prime Minister, Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! My homage to you for taking the brave decision to testify before the Presidential Commission. This is the beginning of Free and Democratic Governance,”

“My unstinted support is with you in this most challenging task. You and I will remain till the end of our days in two opposing political parties, but there can be no disagreement when the Vision is to build a better country for all Sri Lankans, a country where Freedom, human decency and honest, pro people governance will reign supreme. They try to cover up the well planned fraud, taking us as fools.

    Voter Thursday, 23 November 2017 05:47 AM

We are not fools! Remember how he faced the Batalanda inquiry set up by CBK!!!

Jaffna Man Wednesday, 22 November 2017 06:07 PM

By the third world standards for a serving Prime Minister to appear before a judicial inquiry is almost never heard of.So we have to give him full credit for not challenging the legal request and appearing in person.Just imagine what would happen to an Indian judge should he orders Modi to appear in court.

    Rubert Thursday, 23 November 2017 02:56 PM

What nonsense! Have you heard about the people like Nawaz Shariff? Are they not included in your "Third world" or are they not PM enough to count? The issue here is, that this PM has been named by others in a scandal for his massive involvement and he must be tried if he does not accept the commissions summons.

what a funny comment! he appointed mahenderan and supported him to grab our money and now keep him as an advisor

    GR Monday, 27 November 2017 08:01 PM

Robert,Pakistan is a poor example, it is actually fourth world.

    Mason Wednesday, 22 November 2017 06:10 PM

I am not sure whether the PM deserves the Kudos. However, Madam your sentiments deswerve praise.

    Casanova Wednesday, 22 November 2017 06:12 PM

It is a Bravo if it is not a gimmick.

brave Woman Wednesday, 22 November 2017 06:20 PM

what an ironic lady she is... she is the best n her government was the best. Never happened Like MR's regime or yahaplanaya

    malij Wednesday, 22 November 2017 08:06 PM

Set aside party politics, what the Prime Minister did was indeed praiseworthy as such a thing had never happened in our country before. Good for the country. Same way, he has to pay the penalty if he is involved in the Bond scam.

    Sambo Wednesday, 22 November 2017 08:07 PM

But he is the root cause of all this mess. How could one say Bravo. He will see stars when election results are announced.

    Shaan Wednesday, 22 November 2017 08:10 PM

She went to history as the first and last executive president by paying a huge penalty imposed by the judiciary and also ruling the country with a negative economic growth (in 2000). In those terms, Mr Wickramasinghe is BRAVO!

    DJ Wednesday, 22 November 2017 10:19 PM

Definitely brave of PM to face the commission. However the outcome is very clear to us all, ie., he knowingly appointed Arjun M as governed despite there being a conflict of interest. Now be braver and resign dear PM

    Daya Wednesday, 22 November 2017 10:55 PM

Give the credit where its needed.

    Ram Thursday, 23 November 2017 01:51 AM

Was CBK blind in 2002 not to see RW's vision to better the economy of the country?

Calistus Jayatilleke Thursday, 23 November 2017 05:47 AM

If she had expressed the same sentiments before deciding to sack Ranil's elected government in early 2000, then this country would have been a better place. Anyway, better late than never.

Donald Peiris Thursday, 23 November 2017 05:54 AM

Chandrika Bravo ! YOU ARE PRAISING RANIL. HE DID NOT VOLUNTEER TO GO BEFORE BOND COMMISSION BUT WAS SUMMONED. HE IS ONE PERSON ACCUSED BY ARJUNA AS RESPONSIBLE FOR SCAM.CAN YOU REMEMBER THIS VERY RANIL WHO DENIED YOUR SON'S ADMISSION TO ROYAL. DISGRACEFUL AND OPPORTUNISTIC. DO N OT ENTER POLITICS. YOU ARE DISGRACING GREAT MRS SIRIMAVO.

All of the comments here show that we don't appreciate or respect our politicians. RW has done a lot of good things to the country as a politician. We can't find a politician who has not done any wrong or mistake. I hope RW will get to the bottom of the bond scam and make the culprits pay for it.
