Police enforced a curfew in several areas in Galle district when the clash broke out between the two groups following an argument.
The curfew was enforced in Welipitimodara, Mahahapugala, Ruckwatte, Gintota East and West, Piyadigama, Kuruduwatte area’s till 9am tomorrow, it said

I was born and I was a student of a Gintota Maha Vidyalaya. Even though at present I live in the Western Province, I still remember the pleasant memories in my childhood. There were many Muslim students in my class and they were our friends. They came to our places and we went to their houses. Whenever a big pinkama was held or a stage drama was played at the Thuparama or Gangathika temples, they joined, helped and enjoyed them. We never thought that we belonged to different ethnic groups, but lived as members of one family. When the Kiridanaya was held at Mahawatta Bodhi tree on Esala Poya Day ,They were the cooks. So I earnestly appeal to my relatives, friends and villagers in my native place not to turn that beautiful village near Gin Ganga into a blood bath. Please be calm and patient and treat all people as human beings Wipula. I

Is it the LTTE? Why isn't the JO making a fus over disputes in the South? Why do they only make a fuss about incidents in the North as saying LTTE is back?
