something very fishy who are these 8 passengers JO members though they say closing one hour before I have board many time when only 40 min to flight these guys must have been very rude maybe via DM Android App

But they can divert flight according airline head requirement at that point time and inconience are not comsidered

The passengers especially those travelling international flights should be aware of this deadline. in some airports and airlines this time is further extended due to special circumstances to 90 minutes at times. Probably they are used to normal travel by bus, hailing as they reach the bus halt by the wayside..

This may be true and thus i cannot comment on this incident. However, in 1998 I was on my way back to Australia and my return flight business class was re-confirmed. When i reached the check in counter I was told that there is no free seat available in the business class from Colombo to Kualalumpur sector. My argument that my seat was re-confirmed while in Colombo was in deaf's ear and I was offered refund and asked to fly by economy class. I had no choice and opted to fly by economy class. But at the last moment before the plane took off a staff informed me that there is a vacant seat available in the business class and hence for me to move up. Obviously some so-called VIP had snatched my seat and at the last moment decided not to fly. My complaint to authorities subsequently had no response.But I agree that was the time when business class seats were snatched away from passengers in order to accommodate hordes of Sri Lankan several VIPs to travel in comfort in public money

It just came to my mind that sometime ago how the Srilankan Airline had been forced to delay their flights until a certain head of the state arrives at the airport. Yeah, the staff wanted to save their jobs, and the airline was so civilised that no one had the guts to say 'hurry up' to the lady. I am happy to see that now the airline is more 'uncivilised' and have the guts to say 'hurry up'!

I frequenlty fly SriLankan and one of the best calls airline in the world with 7/7 safety rating . Our pilots are smart and very professional. its very important to maintian the momentum and the quality as there can be countries who can intrude to damage the image as they wanted many things from us including land and use our politicians to use for their causes. BBS is one of them

All are complaining the passengers,, what about the ground staff in the airport.? Are they treating passengers well. Can any one appreciate their service ? Is there a place to complain ? it is always the passenger get the blame.
