Today’s Parliament session was adjourned till August 4 by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya a short while ago following a tense situation between MPs of the government and the opposition during the vote session on provisions related to the Essential Services Gazette.
The debate on the Hambantota Port deal which was scheduled to be taken up today was also postponed.

Whether we like it or not, you have to listen to the majority. Our vote is the same. We don't like most of the elected politicians. Still accept them since voted by the majority of voters. This is democracy. Parliament should be the same. If someone can't follow this basis rule, should be kicked out. Should also be banned from contesting again.

Our idiots cannot run this country. This country should be leased in its entirety to a foreign country so that its people can live peacefully.

Why cannot the JO participate in debates in a constructive way. Instead they shout and distrup the proceedings. These fellows should be chased out from politics
