The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) issued a 24-hour landslide early warning at 1 .00 p.m. today for the districts of Ratnapura, Kegalle, Galle, Kalutara, Matara, Hambantota, Nuwara Eliya.
Issuing the ‘Level 3 Red alert’, the NBRO instructed people to evacuate from unstable slopes to minimize disasters due to landslides and cut slope failures said if the rain continues within next 24 hours.

You'll say to evacuate but where do the people go to..are there designated places of refuge? No nothing...no preparedness no plan what to do in a disaster...what are governments doing? Why do we pay taxes
