President Maithripala Sirisena today directed the relevant authorities to provide maximum relief for the people who were affected by the adverse weather conditions prevailing in the country.
In a tweet, President Sirisena expressed his deep condolences to the victims of floods and landslides.

What does "maximum" mean when it comes to giving relief to people affected by disasters? We are of course aware as to what "minimum" means when it comes to giving relief to the Ministers and MPs. Please clarify, Mr. President. Thank you.

A true leader feels for his people and country, and would have rushed back in this hour of need. This is no different to Nero playing the Fiddle when Rome was burning !
