UPFA MP Johnston Fernando was removed from the post of SLFP Electorate Organiser for Nikaweratiya, party General Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said today.

Deputy Minister Indika Bandaranayake was appointed to the post, Amaraweera said.

He said that there would be more changes in the posts for electoral organizers in the future.

“I advise all electoral organizers to show their commitment to the party by working towards a successful May Day programme,” he said. (Thilanka Kanakarathna)

It does not matter for them as they are very good friends. They put both of their names in one poster during the election campaign. Issue is for innocent people like us as they have earned enough money for generations.

He should have been removed long ago considering the damage he was doing to the party and president. The former minister who said he threw a ship load of coconuts into the sea to ensure prices don't come down too much. No action taken in this wonder of Asia. It truly is.
