The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has warned it would launch a countrywide trade union action next month April against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM).
GMOA spokesman Nalinda Herath told the media several unions had pledged their support to the GMOA in its effort to safeguard the country’s healthcare services.
“We met more than 100 unions and most of them are of the view that the SAITM issue should be resolved sooner than later,” he said and added that the details of the TU action would not be revealed just yet.
Dr. Herath said some of the ministers too supported them in their fight against SAITM.
“Minister Champika Ranawaka recently revealed the other side of SAITM in Parliament assured us he will take this matter up,” he said and added that many are of the view that Attorney General the Health Minister and the Higher Education Minister were responsible for this dilemma. Doctors are planning to harass innocent people. Now action and reaction theory should come to play. Common people also can do some thing against these people.

GMOA not revealing TU action. Secret pact with devil will kill patients. Also ERPM money mafia teach "foreigns" for profit and then fails them. They are SAITM's competitors. Also GMOA collecting TUs for May Day and get ready for June elections. Justice will reverse failure back on them.

Could the Government place the Police, Army and Garbage collection crews on leave for just four weeks, so that the dissenters, free loaders and pseudo socialists can settle their differences by the Udghoshana method.
Lokka Tuesday, 28 March 2017 08:33 PM
GMOA is worse than a harbour trade union.
aravinda Tuesday, 28 March 2017 05:35 PM
The past two years have proved that our country needs strong leadership. I think we should appoint an individual like Gotabaya Rajapaksa to deal with these trade unions and lead the country.
saman Tuesday, 28 March 2017 05:25 PM
Youll will succeed since our country have ignorant workers (bath cana meharak/buffalos that eat rice) who can be manipulated by trade union leaders for alcohol and money.
