Customs Narcotics Control Unit today seized a parcel containing 1358 grams of cannabis and 84 grams of hashish valued at Rs. 10 million at the Colombo Mail Exchange.
Customs Spokesman Dharmasena Kahandawa said the Mail Exchange Customs Officials detected an EMS parcel from Spain to a bogus address in Mattegoda.
The narcotics were packed in an enclosure of a speaker box.
Investigations are carried out on instructions of Director of Customs (Social Protection) Sisira de Silva and conducted by Jagath Obesekera (DDC), G. M. Ratnayake (SC) & the staff of NCU. (Chaturanga Pradeep)
