Two women were killed and another one injured when the three-wheeler they were traveling in veered off the road and crashed onto a tamarind tree at Padawgama on the Mattala airport road last evening, Police said.
The deceased were identified as Shirani Malkanthi (40) and K.P. Dilrukshi (40) of Pulathisipura, Tissamaharamaya.
Meanwhile, two men were killed when a concrete mixer truck collided head-on with a lorry at Kaduwela last night.
The victims were identified as 23-year-old Supun Srinath of Watareka, Padukka and 31-year-old Sudesh Maduranga of Weliwita, Kaduwela.
