Germany will support Sri Lanka to secure the GSP plus concession it lost in 2011, German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel said on Friday.
The Vice Chancellor made the remark when he met Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinge on the sidelines of the 15th Asia- Pacific Conference of German Business in Hong Kong this weekend.
"Sri Lanka has come on to the right track during the last few months and Germany fully appreciates it" the Vice Chancellor said.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe has briefed the German Vice Chancellor on the country's education sector. Wickremasinghe said he hopes to develop the country’s vocational training centers in line with modern developments.(Yohan Perera)
