Youth Business-GS1 Lanka to help young entrepreneurs

Youth Business Sri Lanka (YBSL) entered into a partnership with GS1 Lanka to provide its young entrepreneurs with a range of services such as obtaining barcodes and providing them with access to the practices adopted in the global supply chain systems.
The agreement was signed between the two parties recently at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC).
YBSL, which operates under the purview of the CCC, is a national organisation that promotes young people to start their own businesses and transition from being job takers to job makers.
In the meantime, GS1 Lanka, which is housed at the CCC, is the sole authorized body to operate the global supply chain standard system in Sri Lanka. YBSL Country Manager Varatharaja Kumaraguru and GS1 Lanka representative Anthony Peiris signed on behalf of the respective organisations.
