This is way too sad................ many elephants have died this year due to the human-elephant conflict, as a person who enjoys wild life it is high time that the government except this as a major issue and find a solution soon, after all it is the symbol of the green party. Gamini Jayawickrema Perera, over to you sir

We call ourselves buddhists and yet can't tolerate another living being. Cant find a way to co-exist, without an innocent speechless Majestic Animal paying the ultimate sacrifice. We are encroaching on their habitat and these animals pay the price. Soon we will have no elephants left.Live and let live only exists on paper.

I was a farmer over forty five years my farm was constantly damaged by the elephants my friends even committed suicide . Herd of elephants come and eat 3 acres of paddy in half an hour. The government should do something to protect the farmers.

You move out of the elephants' habitat. That's how you will be protected.

Elephant doesn't know the difference between cultivated crops and forest. People should be using some mechanism to prevent the elephants from coming in to cultivated land. Not kill them.
