Excellence in customer service and superior guest experience ratings resulted in Best Western Elyon Colombo securing the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for 2016.

Awarded to establishments which are able to consistently score high positive traveller reviews during the year, the Certificate of Excellence is thereafter awarded to the top 10 percent of tourist attractions, restaurants and accommodations listed on Trip Advisor.

During the year, Best Western was able to secure a minimum Trip Advisor rating of four out of five while rising to fifth position in the Trip Advisor Ranking among over 450 properties listed in Colombo, its highest position since the property first opened in July 2014.

Customer service continues to be a key priority for the hotel, with each member of the Best Western team being trained in the importance of giving every guest personalised and friendly service in order to achieve a consistent, high-quality guest experience.

Such an emphasis on quality service and affordable luxury has enabled Best Western to rapidly rise in prominence in the Sri Lankan city hotel sector. Best Western Elyon has regularly won recognition for its efforts, including the Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice Award for 2015, the Booking.com Award of Excellence and more recently, with the Best Partnership Gold Circle Award from
agoda.com.

“We are absolutely delighted with having been awarded this year’s Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence. As a part of a global hotel chain, the team at Best Western Elyon is absolutely committed to maintaining the international standards set for our brand.

This latest certificate is another step for us in further developing our comprehensive service offering within a lean luxury model. By striking such an ideal balance, we have been able to consistently deliver true value to our guests. With the support of our dedicated staff, we look forward to crossing even more of these milestones in future,” Best Western Elyon General Manager Roshan Adhihettystated.

The Elyon Colombo represents the Best Western international franchise’s first entry into the Sri Lankan market. Since its opening, the hotel has quickly gained praise for its stylish design, extensive range of services and convenient location, all within extremely competitive rates that have proven popular with business and leisure travellers alike.

The franchise has steadily built a reputation for offering some of the most comprehensive facilities, amenities and service in the lean luxury category. From room-service to deluxe bath amenities, the Best Western is known around the world as the ideal choice for leisure or business travellers seeking enhanced style and comfort at a reasonable price point.

The hotel houses a full service restaurant that serves both local and international cuisine, an indoor gymnasium and stunning panoramic rooftop bar to meet with clients in a casual setting or to simply wind down after a long day’s travel.

Accommodation includes a choice of twin, double or family rooms while every room comes equipped with free high-speed internet access and a host of other amenities. The property also offers its corporate guests a boardroom capable of hosting up to 50 people, plus a business centre with extensive facilities to meet their every requirement.

The 60-room Best Western Elyon is part of an initial phase of expansion by Elyon Hotels that aims to reach approximately 400 rooms by 2020 in order to meet Sri Lanka’s exponential growth in demand for accommodation in the wake of a business and leisure tourism boom.

Best Western Hotels & Resorts is a privately held hotel brand with a global network of over 4,100 hotels in more than 100 countries and territories worldwide. With seven decades of history behind it, the Best Western brand is regularly rated as one of the best international hospitality franchises in the world and it the eighth largest hotel chain globally. 1,808 of its global properties received Trip Advisor Certificates of Excellence in 2014.
