A financial literacy programme for small and medium scale entrepreneurs was conducted by the Horana branch of HDFC Bank at Bulathsinghala Divisional Secretariat auditorium recently, with the assistance of the Regional Development Department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
The program was conducted to support SMEs in gaining better understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to this sector. A large number of entrepreneurs attended this program and they were briefed on the opportunities under the ‘Saubhagya’ refinance scheme of CBSL by Sarath Ekanayake, Additional Director/Regional Development Department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. The participants were grateful that the HDFC Bank has conducted this timely programme for them and were expecting financial assistance from HDFC Bank.
The Chief Manager/Regional Manager Ramya Gunawardena, Manager Development Finance Anura Dissanayake and Branch Manager- Horana, Theja Jayasinghe represented HDFC Bank.
