The first batch of naval and coast guard officers of Madagascar and Comoros successfully completed training on specialized ship boarding at a special training session today.
The training programme started upon the request of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, (UNODC).
The closing ceremony of the training programme was graced by Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Karunasena Hettiarachchi, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne.
