The Supreme Court has explained that some sections of the Right to Information (RTI) Bill are inconsistent with the Constitution and it needs a two third majority, the Speaker announced today.
On March 24, Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media Minister Gayantha Karunathilaka presented the draft Bill to Parliament.

That does not mean, the RTI bill should be further watered down. It needs to be a powerful tool for the people and all for the people.
