The joint opposition had decided to stop planned protests in Parliament as most of its demands had been met, one of the MPs belonging to the group told journalists yesterday.
Joint opposition MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara told journalists that all their demands had been met except the demand to be recognised as a separate group within the House.
Accordingly, he said, the members of the group would be appointed to the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE), the Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) and the Petitions committee. He said more time would also be allocated to them during debates
Furthermore M/s Dinesh Gunawardane, VasudevaNanayakara and Wimal Weerawansa had been given the right to raise questions under Standing Order 23(2). (Yohan Perera)

How you have lost that high regard and esteem we had for you till 1994 when you sold your soul to CBK and later sold everything else to MR descending to this low level.

Dear Mr. Dried, can you now tell your brothers-in-barking, NOT to bark any more and do something useful and sensible in the House. It is enough of watching and hearing those fellows bellowing and barking.
