Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) general secretary, the Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera, was released on bail by Homagama Magistrate Ranga Dissanayaka this evening, in the case where the Thera is accused of threatening Sandhya Ekneligoda, the wife of missing journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda, inside the Homagama court premises.
He was released on a surety bail of Rs. 200,000.Meanwhile, Ven, Gnanasara Thera told the media that it was necessary to teach Buddhist priests how law is being enforced in the country.
“I request the Maha Nayaka Theras, the people who appear as the leaders of Sri Lankan Buddhists and the the Buddha Sasana Minister to include a course on the prevailing law enforcement system in the country, at least at the end of the ‘Pirivena education’ or in the Bachelor of Art (BA) or Master of Arts (MA) course or at the end of any Buddhist education in the country,” he said.
Ven. Galagodaatte Gnansara Thera was arrested and remanded on January 26, on charges of contempt of court. (Chaturanga Pradeep)

He speaks like a "Thotha Baba" not knowing the law and his behaviour was due to lack of knowledge of the law. It is shocking that one who is "very conversant and fluent in all the filth and disgraceful language" lacks the basic knowledge of the law. This is very funny.
